THIS AGREEMENT, was originally made July 1, 1938, between THE KANSAS POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY, a Kansas Corporation, and LOCAL UNION NO. 304 of Topeka, Kansas, I.B.E.W.  This contract represents 1,200 workers in Kansas.

Headquartered in Topeka, Westar Energy is the largest electric provider in Kansas, employs about 2,400 people, and serves nearly 700,000 customers in much of east and east-central Kansas. The energy centers generate more than 7,000 megawatts of electricity, and they operate and coordinate 35,000 miles of transmission and distribution lines with IBEW members.
